Raffle Raiser at Prouts Neck Country Club
For our “fun-raising” raffle event on Saturday, August 7th, we invite the whole community to participate, whether you are at Prouts or far away. We have at least 15 “experience-based” prizes waiting to be claimed next weekend! If you can’t attend but want to participate, we can be your personal raffle valets and drop your tickets into specific prize bowls. Please contact Bettina Terfloth at 207-321-9647 or Emily Taylor at 207-318-7731 as of Thursday, August 5th for details.
Admission is $40pp and includes 5 raffle tickets. You can buy more raffle tickets at $10 each. To buy your tickets, simply go to “Pay Dues” (upper right corner of your screen), and click on the raffle ticket photos. Please note our limit: one prize per immediate family.
We are still looking for volunteers: if you’d like to help with set-up or take-down, please contact Emily Taylor at 207-318-7731, or if you’d like to bring an hors d’oeuvre platter, please contact Susan Koch at 207-831-6068.
Safety Day!
Thank you to the PNCC for co-sponsoring this event with the Women's Aux, and to Emily Caspersen and Peter Nappi who have been working diligently behind the scenes to run this event again.
The Fire Department will show off their shiny trucks and they and a few first responders will share some useful safety tips.
Bryan from Rogers Ski and Sport will perform simple bike tune-ups, and provide some bike accessories for sale.
A newcomer to our event is EcoMaine, who will help us become better recyclers at Prouts, highlighting the do’s and don’t’s of recycling in Maine. We will be selling blue bins for $8.50 to anyone who doesn’t have access to the big municipal bins.
CASH SALES ONLY for all purchases.
4th of July Parade
It's official: the 4th of July Prouts Bike Parade is back!
Lesley Craig has once again kindly offered all bike decorating enthusiasts to gather on her lawn across from the PNYC at 2:15 pm on Sunday, July 4th. The Women's Auxiliary has donated all bike decorations so all kids can decorate their bikes in Patriotic style! The parade will start at 3:00 pm and will proceed from the PNYC to the beach at the PNBA (route will follow Black Point Road), where we will gather for snacks on the beach at low tide.
This parade wouldn't be possible without the help of volunteers (and, of course, Peter Nappi!), so please reach out to Jenny Munroe at 617-913-0998 or Jeremy Haskins at 617-543-4441 if you'd like to help with set-up/bike decorating duty (3 volunteers needed), or set-up/snack duty at the beach (3 volunteers needed).
We are excited to resume this annual tradition!
